A collection of work over the last few months

well its April 15th,4 am and I am up and fixing to work on the cook book.one nice thing about no husband,children grown, my hours really my own, and after 30 years of raising children and working on a farm,with only the chicken and the dogs to feed and my vegetable garden to tend to,it is nice to have my time for my creating.I am fixing to see about hand writting the recipes in indian ink.later gators,right now I am drinking my Mountain Dew and I am happier that a tick on a dog,off to create

o check out this photos of the family,mamas beads,sequins ect,on the inside is one of mama's rashion books and photos of her,aUNT bEA(YES WE HAVE A REAL aUNT bEA) AND THE FAMILY AFTER HUNTING,AND ONE OF MAMA'S HANDWRITTEN RECIPES.THE BOOK IS GOING TO BE FILLED WITH ART,DRYED FLOWERS,VINTAGE FAMILY RECIPES ,SOME DATING BACK TO THE 1800'S-1990 AND LOTS OF FAMILY VINTAGE GOODIES.iTS GOING TO BE HAND WRITTEN WITH INDIAN INK.i HOPE TO MAKE IT VERY ORGINAL AND DIFFERENT, http://www.parteagoodiesgiveaway.blogspot.com/

A sharecropper's daughter ~ Places Of The Past A Southern Folk Artist:My art is in collections and Museums in the U.S.A,Canada and Europe. It has been written up in INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINES LIKE RAW VISION AND SOUTHERN LADY as well as being shown at the Huntsville Museum along with the art of Grand Ma Moses and Norman Rockwell. I have shown at the Atlanta Folk Fest and at Kentuck with International artist like Lisa Cain, Woddy Long, Jimmy Lee Suddeth. On Sept 23,after the death of my beloved Mother who died in my arms, I said good by to a 30 year art career as a folk artist on the art circuit to sell and paint as a Independent folk artist , So come and travel the road back to my childhood days where the late afternoon drifts into long shadows and where I paint the memories of my days gone by. my family canning,making moon shine, the chain gang,working in the fields.email me with orders and questions. be sure to see purple cucumbers who is creating altered art hats and play sets in a tin.Check out my new blog at http://jessielavon.blogspot.com/

The south is such a different world than the north. I have been to New Orleans once...right before the flood, and have friends in North Carolina, but never been to the deep south other than to N.O.
