What a fun idea, I'd love to be added in your drawing! Your art work is amazing, I love the folk art! So glad you stopped by, your blog is a inspriation!
It was so nice of you to drop me a note as you were passing through my blog! I have enjoyed visiting on your porch seeing what you are creating and had lovely time! I may copy your fairy chair in my garden if you don't mind - I am sure there are fairies there who would love a place of their own!
Thank you! I will join in the porch party :)
I'll bring a pan of butter beans to shell and sit a spell:) That's what I used to do at my Grandma's house in the evenings. Sit in the porcg swing, shell butter beans and watch the traffic (sparse) go by. Sweet memories. I'll see you on the 30th! Jamie
hi. i will be there! love your paintings and would love to be added to the drawing.
i am sending you healing thoughts...
What a delightful idea and being willing to give away some of your paintings proves what a loving and giving person you are:-) How I would love to be able to join you on your porch...we could have a gab fest for sure! hehe xoxo
YOU are a doll!!! I would love to have a purple cucumber original for my home...how sweet and kind of you to invite everyone to your porch party. Let me get my old comfy overalls on and hat and boots and I will bring my coffe mug and be right over! I am always up for some good chat with good women! Love, KR
Thanks for coming to visit me! You are a very cool and inspirational woman. Your paintings are so much fun, I love them! Bless you, and keep on creating!
Well of course I want to attend your party, can I bring anything? How about some fresh flowers and a pitcher of lemonade in a cherry printed pitcher? WOW and the chance to win a piece of your art is a wonderful bonus. Hmm, let's see, what shall I wear? Ah sitting on the porch chatting with you and all the other lovely ladies, what fun!
Thank you for the invitation sweet Jessie...I just know you are the BEST hostess.
XO
I love porches. I used to sit on one with my grandmother on hot summer nights a long time ago.
Count me in. I could never pass up such a generous invitation. xoxo
Wow, my heroine was Grandma Moses. Her story inspired me so much but your story is even more amazing! And your paintings are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! I'm just so glad you passed by my blog. I would love to join your Porch party. Even tho I live in Scotland, my husband and I spent a year in Missouri and just loved it! What I'm goin' to do now is take some time to read your older posts. In the meantime bask in all the healing thoughts everyone is sending your way and see you soon...;)
I have just found your blog but I want in too!
I absolutely love your paintings and being a Georgia girl myself I really love the language!!!!
Thanks so much for the invitation!!! I'll be here for sure!
Hi Jessie, well here in England we don't really have those lovely porches that you all have.
But many years ago I used to love watching The Waltons and always wanted a porch just like they had with a swinging seat and ol grandpa telling wise stories. So that is where I will imagine myself on the 30th, of course I would love to share the truffles yummm!!! and helping with the beans of course and holding a long cool drink of lemonade.
Happy Porch Party!!!
Best wishes Ginny (England)
I will be in Utah on the 30th, but I will find a lpatop and join you!
xoxo!
Sue
I just found you through morning glory at Seeds From My Garden. A front porch party sounds wonderful. I will be reading your past posts before the party so I can get to know you better. You are most generous to have a party and offer a painting. they look wonderful!
Blessings on you!
Myrna
I would love to join you at your porch party. Your paintings are amazing. I was especially taken with the Tea Party. Maybe just like a porch party. Warm smiles--Marybeth

Hey I'm excited about our little interview and can't wait to talk to and about you! Say a front porch party sounds like a good idea for a painting! Hugs!

Yippeeee! A porch party. Do you know how long its been since I sat out on a good oldfashioned porch?
Toss my name in the hat. I'd be so honored to own a piece of your art.
Darla
Hey Jessie...here's the info. I cut the house shape out of foamcore board (you can use wood, too, but I don't have the tools or the space), then I painted it thickly with acrylic paint to give it texture, adding a little scrap of paper here and there, then more paint. Then I glued on the decorated paperclip on the door, and the fabric leaf trim. You can glue anything you like on the house. xox
Nothing like visiting friends on the Front Porch! Thanks for the invite!

Hi, I just found your blog yesterday. I will stop by to browse later. Thanks for the opportunity to win some art! Oh and I love the name purple cucumbers. I love them both :)
I just found you through another blog. Do you know about Etsy? It's a community, actually a HUGE community of online crafters and artists. Handmade is the name of the game. I think your artwork is perfect for the site and would encourage you to take a look.

Hi there, thanks for visiting my blog. Hope the porch party is a great success, I'll try to get there.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm so happy to visit yours... and happy I found you. I love your art!
Sounds like fun! Count me in, now I just need to go spruce up my front porch, not a true porch, just a covered breezeway(but it does have a swing).
Just thought I'd stop by for a slice of watermelon, sure do appreciate it and hope you had a lovely day and an even better evening!
I love your work! Thank for stopping by.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Your work is beautiful and just from reading your blog-you are an amazing woman. Also I am jealous of creative people.
I myself am a "stick drawing person." Nothing creative about me.
Take care and God Bless
Terri

Can we have a watermelon seed spitting contest?
Sounds like a great party.
See you there!!!
Hello there Darlin'! Like everyone else, I'm so happy you stopped by my blog.
And we all surely love to get comments in our blogs. And this is the best way to get 'em....To go out visiting, in others. Let 'em know we're around. Maybe they'll come for a look-see. Maybe they'll even leave a comment.
Being so chatty myself, I don't see how anyone doesn't leave comments, but.... that's just *Chatty Cathy* me. {Anyone remember that doll? We got one for our daughter and her bro broke the pull-to-talk-string. Ekkkkkkk!}
Anyway, I'd love to have my name entered in your front porch party give away.
And I'm happy that you are coming along so well, with your health issues. And hope you keep right on climbing uphill!
Hugs, Mari-Nanci
I'll remember you in my prayer time this week.
Enjoyed visiting your blog... very homey.
Hi there!!! Found your blog through a comment you left on Terri's blog...I believe it was...and came to see what in the world you were talking about when you said you got a little watermelon for your "pointy thing"!!! Love your little watermelon cursor. How'd you do that?
Drop by my blog sometime. I'm from Florida...but my hubby's from Alabama!
Count me in! :)
OMGosh! I just followed your link from another blog. Your work is wonderful. My parents grew up in GA picking cotton, picking up pecans, etc. Your paintings so remind me of them and their life in the south. As soon as possible, I will be back to read more of your wonderful blog. xoxo
I am checking in...and leaving a comment this time! I should be so lucky.
hope you had a lovely day!
Oh wow...I`m in for this party!!!
Well hey there, thanks for stopping by, I just LOVE your chair, looks like an artist lives there! (smile)

I'm so thrilled to have "found" your delightful blog... I'm in awe of your talent and inspired by your spirit....
I believe I found my way here through Strawberrys N Apron Strings....
I would be so thrilled to have one of your paintings.... Just absolutely thrilled....!!!
11 years ago our lovely daughter-in-law had an AVM burst - she was only 22 at the time.... We didn't think she'd survive - but I can happily say that since that time she's given us 4 incredibly beautiful grandchildren..... She does have problems with her short-term memory - but writes notes all the time and is able to handle it that way....
May God wrap his strong arms around you and give you strength....
If we could be of any help - contact me at wallis104@yahoo.com
Blessings - janice

Hello there, its nearly time for your porch party!
Hope everything is fine with you and will pop in on the 30th to share some lemonade with you - even if it has to be interactively!!:)))
take care and the best wishes Ginny (all the way over the pond in England)
everything sounds delish!!!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog over the past little while, and for the invitation to your party. Sorry it took me so long to get over here for a proper hello, but I've been a tad lacking in steam for a whole lot of things lately. Better just in the nick of time than never, though!
Your art is gorgeous, and I've also enjoyed looking around, getting to know you a bit.
I see that you figured out how to get a fancy little cursor thingy. That was another thing I meant to get back to you about. Oh dear ...
Anyway, the party frock is ready and I'm counting down the hours 'til the fun begins! :)
WOW Jessie!! Magnolias and Roses, I love them!
