It was so nice of you to drop me a note as you were passing through my blog! I have enjoyed visiting on your porch seeing what you are creating and had lovely time! I may copy your fairy chair in my garden if you don't mind - I am sure there are fairies there who would love a place of their own!

I'll bring a pan of butter beans to shell and sit a spell:) That's what I used to do at my Grandma's house in the evenings. Sit in the porcg swing, shell butter beans and watch the traffic (sparse) go by. Sweet memories. I'll see you on the 30th! Jamie

WOW and the chance to win a piece of your art is a wonderful bonus. Hmm, let's see, what shall I wear? Ah sitting on the porch chatting with you and all the other lovely ladies, what fun!

Hi Jessie, well here in England we don't really have those lovely porches that you all have.

But many years ago I used to love watching The Waltons and always wanted a porch just like they had with a swinging seat and ol grandpa telling wise stories. So that is where I will imagine myself on the 30th, of course I would love to share the truffles yummm!!! and helping with the beans of course and holding a long cool drink of lemonade.

Happy Porch Party!!!
Best wishes Ginny (England)

Hey Jessie...here's the info. I cut the house shape out of foamcore board (you can use wood, too, but I don't have the tools or the space), then I painted it thickly with acrylic paint to give it texture, adding a little scrap of paper here and there, then more paint. Then I glued on the decorated paperclip on the door, and the fabric leaf trim. You can glue anything you like on the house. xox

Hello there Darlin'! Like everyone else, I'm so happy you stopped by my blog.

And we all surely love to get comments in our blogs. And this is the best way to get 'em....To go out visiting, in others. Let 'em know we're around. Maybe they'll come for a look-see. Maybe they'll even leave a comment.

Being so chatty myself, I don't see how anyone doesn't leave comments, but.... that's just *Chatty Cathy* me. {Anyone remember that doll? We got one for our daughter and her bro broke the pull-to-talk-string. Ekkkkkkk!}

Anyway, I'd love to have my name entered in your front porch party give away.

And I'm happy that you are coming along so well, with your health issues. And hope you keep right on climbing uphill!

Hugs, Mari-Nanci

Hi there!!! Found your blog through a comment you left on Terri's blog...I believe it was...and came to see what in the world you were talking about when you said you got a little watermelon for your "pointy thing"!!! Love your little watermelon cursor. How'd you do that?

Drop by my blog sometime. I'm from Florida...but my hubby's from Alabama!

OMGosh! I just followed your link from another blog. Your work is wonderful. My parents grew up in GA picking cotton, picking up pecans, etc. Your paintings so remind me of them and their life in the south. As soon as possible, I will be back to read more of your wonderful blog. xoxo

I'm so thrilled to have "found" your delightful blog... I'm in awe of your talent and inspired by your spirit....

I believe I found my way here through Strawberrys N Apron Strings....

I would be so thrilled to have one of your paintings.... Just absolutely thrilled....!!!

11 years ago our lovely daughter-in-law had an AVM burst - she was only 22 at the time.... We didn't think she'd survive - but I can happily say that since that time she's given us 4 incredibly beautiful grandchildren..... She does have problems with her short-term memory - but writes notes all the time and is able to handle it that way....

May God wrap his strong arms around you and give you strength....

If we could be of any help - contact me at wallis104@yahoo.com

Blessings - janice

Thanks so much for visiting my blog over the past little while, and for the invitation to your party. Sorry it took me so long to get over here for a proper hello, but I've been a tad lacking in steam for a whole lot of things lately. Better just in the nick of time than never, though!

Your art is gorgeous, and I've also enjoyed looking around, getting to know you a bit.

I see that you figured out how to get a fancy little cursor thingy. That was another thing I meant to get back to you about. Oh dear ...

Anyway, the party frock is ready and I'm counting down the hours 'til the fun begins! :)
